Description

The Landing Craft Utility Ambulance (LCU Ambulance) is specifically designed to conduct medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) operations for marines during amphibious landing missions. This high-speed vessel, equipped with two water jets, can achieve speeds of up to 41 knots. It features advanced emergency medical equipment and is staffed by a medical team consisting of one field doctor and two medical personnel. The marine ambulance is intended to facilitate transport between the amphibious beach and a Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) equipped with onboard hospital facilities.
